IKM Staff Position: Architect I
Full-time Registered Architect on the path to Project Architect responsibilities with experience on institutional type projects, works under the direction of Project Manager for mid-sized to large projects.
Architect I is responsible for exercising independent judgment in the evaluation, selection, and use of office standards for project development. Directed problem solving assignments associated with design investigation and documentation will be given as a regular part of work assignments. These directed exercises will assigned by the project team, Project Architect, or Project Manager.
Architect I will have a professional degree in architecture, completion of all IDP & ARE requirements, and registration in PA. Candidate should have 5-7 years of professional office experience.This position requires strong experience in REVIT and Sketch-up for exploration and implementation of design solutions. LEED accreditation, Photoshop and Excel skills a plus.

Staff Position: Project Manager
IKM Incorporated is a Pittsburgh based firm that has delivered architectural, planning, and interior design services to the Mid-Atlantic Region for 100 years. Project Managers at IKM are expected to lead project teams with this approach; making sure that design, client need, technical responses, and financial obligations are being attended to with a high level of competency and skill. The IKM Project Manager is responsible for leading the project team through programming, design, and construction administration. Additionally, the Project Manager is responsible for preparing strategic plans for project success. The Project Manager serves as the primary client liaison to bring the schedule, budgets, and scope of work to completion and to the client’s satisfaction, and actively manages client budgets, schedules, and programs, project design, project communications and documentation; office administrative tasks; and project team assignments.
Project Manager Candidates will have 8-12 years of project management experience with a broad range of project responsibilities. Bachelor of Architecture or Masters of Architecture degrees are required as is a current license to practice architecture in Pennsylvania. REVIT, Sketch-UP, and Excel skills are required. Photoshop skills and LEED Accreditation a plus.

IKM Staff Position: Architectural Intern III & Illustrator
Full-time intern on the path to licensure with three to six years of experience, works under the direction of others and is responsible a for project’s technical design. Provides planning, design, and coordination on a range of projects. Candidate will also have architectural rendering responsibilities.
An Architectural Intern III is responsible for specific technical design aspects of an assigned project including investigation, evaluation, and recommendations of design solutions. This person performs assignments under direct supervision of a Project Manager and has limited responsibility for design. This role provides professional architectural consultation in the planning, design, and coordination of a range of projects from midsize to large projects, with a variety of complexity. An Architectural Intern III will be assigned complex or novel assignments that require the development of new or improved techniques and procedures.
An Architectural Intern III will have strong experience using REVIT and Sketch-up for exploration and implementation of design solutions. Interest in architectural illustration with skills using 3D Studio Max, Vray, and Photoshop for the production of high quality CGI presentations are also a requirement of this position.
