As part of a joint-venture team, IKM was selected to design apartment-style housing on the Grove City College campus. The apartments, primarily for senior students, provide housing for 100 men and 100 women, giving them an opportunity for more independent living.

The $12 million student apartment complex is located on the lower campus, “placing the students on the doorstep of the soon-to-be revitalized downtown area,” according to Richard Jewell, the president of the College.

Colonial Hall Apartments features 208 beds in a four-story building. Each apartment has a kitchen, living room, four bedrooms, and two baths. A commons area used by students and alumni for special events joins the men’s wing and women’s wing. The new apartments replace a dormitory (of the same name) that was located on the site from 1904 to 1981.
