“2024 has been an exciting year for IKM Architecture, marked by significant milestones and changes. One of the most notable developments for me personally was stepping into the role of President, as John Schrott transitioned to focus on advising IKM as a Healthcare Planner. The transition has gone smoothly, and as we approach 2025, I feel increasingly confident and comfortable in this new role. With a deeper understanding of my responsibilities, I am more grateful than ever to lead IKM.

Benjamin Franklin once said, “Change is the only constant in life. One’s ability to adapt to those changes will determine success in life.” This sentiment resonates deeply with us, as 2024 brought significant changes to IKM. Some of these were anticipated and well-planned, such as the leadership transition, while others came unexpectedly, including the profound loss of our COO, Mike McDonnell. Mike was an exceptional mentor to so many at IKM, and his absence is deeply felt. His legacy of fostering innovation and design excellence continues to inspire and guide us every day.

Through these changes, IKM has demonstrated remarkable resilience and adaptability, emerging stronger as a team. Our accomplishments this year, including nine design awards, reflect the incredible talent and dedication of our staff. As we look to the future, we are energized by the opportunity to build on this success and achieve even greater heights in 2025.

We are also thrilled to have welcomed eight new employees across our Cleveland, Pittsburgh, and Columbus offices. Each brings a fresh perspective and enthusiasm that invigorates our team. Additionally, we are delighted to have welcomed back a few employees to the IKM family, further enriching our culture with their experience and commitment.

In the coming year, we are focused on strengthening our expertise, building deeper relationships of trust and dependability with our current clients, and forming new partnerships in our target markets. As we embrace change and continue to adapt, we remain committed to our mission of innovation and design excellence, setting the stage for a successful and impactful 2025.”
