IKM was selected in a competitive process by Schneider Downs to design the renovation of 46,000 square feet of office space on two floors of One PPG Place to create their new corporate headquarters.  Schneider Downs is one of the 60 largest certified public accounting and business advisory firms in the United States.

IKM collaborated with Schneider Downs in an aggressive design schedule to develop agile office environments, specifically designed to streamline processes. The goal of design of the office environment was to enable the physical space to support the client’s efforts to prepare for future growth.

The new headquarters features open team rooms and a conference center aimed to foster a culture of innovation. Soft seating areas encourage collaboration. Touchdown workstations to accommodate the firm’s frequently-traveling audit team members were designed in lieu of traditional office areas.

The new headquarters was also designed to improve the firm’s information sharing processes by integrating technology through the use of drop down projectors, smart boards, and state of the art speaker and sound systems. The entire space is wired with interactive tablet-devices and large screen monitors, enabling professionals to display data and presentations virtually anywhere in the office including the firm’s new work café.
