As the architects for the Erickson Alumni Center at West Virginia University, IKM Incorporated sought to unite the goals of the Alumni Association in a new facility. IKM understood the importance of history, tradition, and “place-making.” The result is a $12 million project in a 48,000 square foot iconic alumni facility located less than 400 yards from the Milan Puskar football stadium, on West Virginia University’s Evansdale Campus. As alumni and visitors approach the new center they are drawn to the landmark bell tower evocative of Woodburn Hall on the WVU main campus.
